When you see advertisements posted everywhere offering multiple rooms of carpet cleaning for a very low rate during this tough economy, your first instinct is to accept what appears to be a budget-friendly service. When they arrive, however, you are told that there are separate fees for high traffic areas, entryways, stains, carpet protectants and etc. Many of these fast-approach technicians will perform a very fast procedure known in the industry as "Squirt-N-Suck." They flood the fibers, extract the water, charge for deodorizers (which is already added in most carpet rinses anyway) and leave. On many occasions, your carpet will look great when it's first cleaned, but your spots will reappear as the carpet dries. This is called Wicking. Ask your carpet cleaner what is the PH Balance necessary in their solutions to properly care for your carpet type. Better yet, try asking them what your carpet is made of. Will they know the difference between wool, cotton, olefin, nylon, jute, acrylic or polyester? Ask them whether they use acid dye blockers or fluorochemicals in their process. If they seem confused about any of this, it's really no problem. Just show them to your door and call Dirt Divers, Inc.

We can fully explain every step we take, why we take it and educate the client on best practices to maintain their carpets and keep us from returning too soon. In the cleaning industry, this is a nightmare for many cleaning contractors, but we prefer it this way because most of our new clients acquired our services through referrals from past clients that prefer an honest, skilled technician. For spot removal, does your current carpet cleaning technician saturate the stain, let it sit for awhile, scrub it and then extract it? If so, they are damaging your carpet. When your carpet is saturated, the backing (usually made from the Jute plant) will result in the degradation of the plant cells and release lignin (a brown sticky substance) that will rise to the surface while your carpet is drying during the evaporation of the water and stop at the surface of the carpet leaving a spot. Dirt Divers not only identify the fibers your carpet is made from, but we determine what pre-spray solution will be used and measure it according to PH levels. Then we extract using hot water and guarantee a drying time of 2-4 hours to prevent browning and reocurring staining. Dirt Divers, Inc. also uses Encapsulation Technology. Isn't it about time?
